Congratulations to Tatiana Maslany on her Critics’ Choice Nomination for Best Actress in a Drama Series*.
*If she wins, expect serious clone drama.
And then I met a man called The Doctor. A man who could change his face.

Why does Helena react the way she does when she learns Sarah has a daughter?
Further to Tatiana’s brilliant suggestion that Helena be motivated more by love than hate, her evolving relationship with Sarah has become a gut-wrenching tap dance with her own development, versus the lives she might have had, had her own life been anything like the others’. We imagined that, following the treat of a lunch with Sarah – and the opportunity to confront an abomination like Olivier in the last episode, Helena’s reaction to learning the clone she felt closest to was capable of producing such pure innocence would absolutely rock her (and her beliefs) to the core. A child makes Sarah a mother; a child makes Helena confront her morality at its essence. For naturally created life is all she is really championing. And here it is, staring her in the face… full of all the love she’s probably never known. (X)

This lady is just so suave.
Cosima: Will probably get spy-banged.
Cosima: … might as well get spy-banged.
Cosima: … taking one for the team. For science.
